Any business selling alcohol, including small pubs, retailers, large nightclubs, cafés, restaurants, hotels, and sports facilities may need trained security staff qualified as door supervisors who hold an SIA licence.

The Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry qualification is required by law for an individual to apply for a SIA licence to work as a door supervisor.

How long will it take me?

This qualification is designed to be delivered across four full days in the classroom, alongside home learning.

How will I be assessed?

There are three multiple choice question exams, each with a pass mark of 70%.

The Physical Intervention module will be examined by a practical assessment and scenario based true or false questions. The pass mark for both sections is 100%.

Learners must successfully pass all assessments to gain the Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Sector Industry qualification.
