Is this qualification for me?

The SSSTS is designed for people in the construction industry who either hold, or aspire to hold, a supervisory position.

The course is appropriate for foremen, gang leaders, supervisors, line managers and team leaders.

What does the qualification cover?

Topics include:

The Health and Safety at Work Act
The role of the supervisor
Behavioural safety in the workplace
PPE
Site inductions and toolbox talks
Risk assessments and the need for method statements
Monitoring site activities effectively

How long will it take me?

The qualification is designed to take two full days to complete, when delivered face to face. You are also able to undertake this qualification online.

How will I be assessed?

You are assessed by a 25 question examination, consisting of 21 multiple choice questions, and 4 safety critical questions, which require a short written answer. Successful learners will need to achieve at least 80%.
